Lewisham
South of the river Thames, Lewisham boasts one of the longest high streets in a London borough. The borough was formed in 1965 from the the amagamation of Lewisham and Deptford. Lewisham was said to be founded by Jute on the 6th century, the name originates from the Saxon 'house among the meadows'.
