Greenwich
Greenwich is the home of Greenwich Mean Time - the point where east meets west and all from which all clocks were once set. Famous for it's martitime history, Greenwich is situated in south east London. The area was settleed back in saxon times and is close to the Watling Street, the Roman road running to Dover. Greenwich developed as a fishing village because of the safe anchorage on the River Thames.
